Fashion! Turn to the left! Fashion! Turn to the right!

Oooh fashion! We are the goon squad and we're coming to town. Beep beep!

Ok, enough David Bowie lyrics. It's that time again, New York Fashion Week! I'm excited to be working with most of the same teams as last season. My schedule this time is a bit more spread out this season so that make me very happy!

Here's a few snaps from shows I worked on last September. Can't wait to get backstage again and dive deep into the beautiful madness!

New Work: Mara Hoffman Spring 2014

These last few months have been quite busy! Which is great as we head into a rather unpredictable winter season. As I prepare for lots of clients attending holiday & new years parties, as well as starting to meet with bridal clients for next year, I am taking a look back at 2013. Most recently I worked on a few shoots with the fabulous Mara Hoffman for upcoming Spring collections.

Definitely had a blast on this shoot for the Spring editorial for her website. We were inspired by heavy kohl liner and of course, as always, gorgeous skin & brows. I created a deep navy kohl lined eye, exaggerating the line to extend far beyond the eye on the lower lid. The effect is smoldering in an unexpected way.

Stay tuned for more! I'll break down the look from the Spring look book soon.

Happy Halloween! A Last Minute Costume with Hair and Makeup!

There are two kinds of people when it comes to dressing up for Halloween. Those who plan their costume ahead of time, and those who wait until the last minute and then panic. I used to be the former. Now I am the latter. I don't know what happened. I tend to just lean on makeup to be my costume if I do anything at all.

If you follow Opening Ceremony's blog, you probably saw their post called "Hairstyle File: Get Your Freak On With Bumble and Bumble." I got to work on this super fun shoot over at the Bumble and Bumble salon/studio/university/mecca/palace/wonderland here in NYC and add some complimenting makeup looks to hairstylist Misha Golebiewski awesome your-hair-can-be-your-costume styles. Last minute costume? No problem. Opening Ceremony and Bumble and Bumble have you covered. The Bride of Frankenstein look is calling my name. Head to their blog to see all the juicy details and how to create these looks yourself.
